The Haylee Sweater is a top down construction first knit flat, then in the round. It features diagonal shoulders, a front placket, 2x2 rib oversized collar, wide sleeves and all over cables. First the back yoke is worked with increases on each shoulder. Then each front shoulder piece is picked up separately, before they are joined together in the front. The front and back pieces are then connected with underarm stitches and the rest of the body is knit in the round. The front placket pieces are worked individually, then are connected before Stitches are picked up and knitted in 2x2 rib for the collar. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up at the armholes and are knit down in the round. It is knit using a DK weight yarn and 4mm needles to meet gauge.
