Haylie’s Hat is a watch cap style hat with a different decrease pattern than other watch caps I have seen. It leaves a more tapered, yet still fits the top of the head shaping. Perfect for creating lots of lovely stripes!

The hat is so stretchy and will fit most head sizes with no alteration, but it is easy to change the size also. Pattern has notes for an adult and child size hat that should fit all but the smallest heads.

Designed to use one skein or less of worsted weight yarn this hat is a wonderful stash buster.

Knitting level is easy!
Techniques used are ewrap cast on, working in the round, and ribbing stitches.
Stitches used are ewrap cast on, knit, purl, Knit 2 together.

Gauge is not critical but a nice firm fabric is desired to create a snug warm hat.
