Haymarket Station
DESCRIPTION
Haymarket Station is a stop on both lines of the Tyne and Wear Metro located in the north of the city centre of Newcastle. It has been recently renovated with what is probably my favorite architectural feature: dramatic windowpanes that have been glazed blue through the addition of copper sulfate to the glass. Haymarket as an area includes both Newcastle and Northumbria Universities, a prominent city centre landmark in St. Thomas’ Church, and several war memorials. It is also home to the main pedestrian shopping mall in the city, Northumberland Street.

The body of the shawl is worked in stockinette stitch with English Lace pattern inserts. Increases are worked at the edges and on either side of the center panel to shape the piece with garter stitch borders.
