Hazel the Red Panda
Join the Bushy Tails Expedition with Hazel the Red Panda. While on this wild adventure you’ll always be able to spot Hazel up in the trees thanks to her big bushy tail.
Red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) are classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List since 2015, being threatened by poaching as well as deforestation. Find out more about this beautiful animal and how you can help through the WWF website (www.worldwildlife.org/species/red-panda).
The pattern is written in U.S. terminology. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Hazel the Red Panda measures approx. 14cm (5.5in), when using the same yarn/tools as indicated below and working with the “x” single crochet technique (yarn under, yarn over).
Skill Level: Intermediate
