Hazuki is the traditional name of the month of August in Japanese. It means a month of leaves. I wanted to translate the lines of a leaf onto a summer shawl. The shape is the traditional triangle. I also designed this shawl in the hottest week of summer heat. So it had to be easy to memorize to take it to rivers, beaches, or on a long drive. The finished shawl is simple yet versatile!
Gauge is not critical as in most of shawl patterns.
