this pattern is for a fitted beanie all in HDC. the bottom ribbing is folded up and can be left off as can the pom pom if you like. by adding about 5-7 extra stitches in the top increase section and another row or 2 to the length (before the ribbing) i believe this hat would work well for a man too but i havent tried that out yet :0) enjoy!
