This super drapey semi-circular shawl features two colors of fingering weight yarn. The first part of the shawl is made up with a relaxing garter stitch, several yarn overs and some colored stripes. Then a lace pattern is knitted and the shawl is finished with a fancy border consisting of twisted stitches and a smocked technique. The wavy shape of the side border is achieved by working simple increases and decreases.

Finished measurements: 140 cm wingspan. Measurements taken after blocking.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Fingering weight

TreLiz Ares (85% Superwash Merino – 15% Nylon; 437yds/400m per 100g skein)

Color A – Important Nothings – 1 skein
Color B – Le Louvre – 1 skein

Color A is your main color and it is used in the main body of the shawl.

Color B is used for the final border and for a few stripes in the main body of the shawl.

I recommend you choose two colors with a high-constrast color relationship if you want a bold shawl. Two low-contrast colors will work as well with a softer result.

Yardage:

Color A: aprox 400 m / 100 g

Color B: aprox 320 m / 80 g

Needles: US 4 / 3.5 mm circular

Notions: 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge: 24 sts & 42 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch, measurements taken after blocking.
