A chunky, cropped, and boxy sweater! This sweater has a simple construction and is worked flat and in the round. The front and back pieces are knit flat while the sleeves are picked up from the body. It has a crewneck and slightly tapered or wide sleeves. The clouds are created using intarsia.

Materials:

  • 1 Pair of 12 mm circular needles, 24” cord Optional: 1 Pair of 12 mm, 16” cord (can substitute using magic loop method with your 24” cord). Can also use 12 mm double pointed needles
  • 2 (2) 2 (2) 2 (2) skeins(s) of cloud color OR 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) skein of cloud color 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) skein of ribbing color
  • 5 (5) 6 (6) 7 (7) skeins of background color with wide sleeves OR 4 (4) 5 (5) 6 (6) skeins of background color with tapered sleeves -All yarn is 200g/80m (super bulky weight)

Gauge:
8 stitches x 12 rows makes a 4”x4” square

The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners since it does use intarsia to create the clouds. This is not meant to be someone’s first knitting project, but it is suitable to be a first intarsia project!
