Head Over Heels Granny Square Heart Beanie
This hat is inspired by a Zelda necklace that my hubby got for me for Valentine’s Day.
The heart squares are 3 inches by 3 inches and would be super cute used in other projects as well! I made this hat for me, (22 inch head), and it fits great! I like my hats a little loose and a little long to cover my ears and hide my eyebrows from the cold. The hat in the picture is on my Craftyghoul model head. I just colored over the face and hair to give her a more anime appearance and also because I wanted it to be clear where the hat stopped and her face/hair began. The dark hat color was trying to blend and I wanted it to be clear for you.
I describe in this pattern how to make the average-adult-lady hat in the picture, and also how to make these types of square hats in general with your other favorite square motifs! I also have notes for adjusting the size for custom fits.
