This cabled headband/ear warmer is the perfect way to give you a stylish look and keep your ears warm at the same time. It is also the ideal accessory for windy days when you want to keep your hair tamed without having to wear a hat.

The headband is very easy to make and can easily be completed in one evening. You will only need one 2 oz skein (50 g ball) of light worsted weight yarn (double knitting/8 ply) to make the headband, and a single button for fastening.

The finished measurement is 22 inches (56 cm) around, but it will stretch to fit most head sizes. Alternatively, it is easy to adapt the length of the headband during the knitting process.

If you thought that knitting a cable pattern was “in the too hard basket” for you, then this pattern will change your mind! My patterns are written in plain English, which makes them easy to follow whether you are a newbie knitter or you have many years of experience.
