Heading South is the first pattern of a set of accessories inspired by the interwoven paths in life with unlimited number of possibilities, when often we need to pause and choose a direction.

This is a pattern for a textured knitted hat using basketweave stitch with eyelets and easy cables, worked from the bottom up in the round in fingering weight yarn. The hat is created to complement the Heading East shawl for those who would like to make a set and/or have some leftovers, but it is a nice and fun hat all by its own!

The pattern is fully written and charted and is for one size only – to fit an average adult woman.
