Fish for compliments with this fish scale, fish tail hat.

Knitted with two contrasting colours of Shetland Heather (one ball of each needed) in the round on 3.5mm and 4.5mm needles, it begins with a moss stitch border, progresses through colourwork, the crown decreases a little like a kep or Icelandic tail cap, and ends in a fish tail hanging to one side.

The hat measures approx. 50cm / 20” around - to make it a little larger, try using 4mm and 5mm needles instead.

It’s a fairly quick, easy knit too, and hopefully will bring smiles to faces as well as warmth to heads. Don’t let it be the one that got away!
