Heart & Sole Socks
This sock pattern is for the standard gauge knitting machine together with a ribber because these socks are knit circular after you have done the ribbing. One ball makes one sock.
It took me seven tries to get the tension on my swatches, one of which is pictured, but in the end I managed to match the ball band requirements of 36 stitches and 48 rows.
I was, however, surprised when I knit the first sock to find that I had a totally different pattern (guess I should have checked on Ravelry first for photos of this yarn knit up). When I knit the second sock it matched the swatches and so then the light bulb went on. I remembered that you have to start knitting the second sock in exactly the same place in the yarn as the first sock for the pattern to match. Fortunately, I had four balls of this yarn so in the end I had two matching pairs of socks. There was no photo on the ball band to give me a clue!
Hope you find this pattern useful and if you find a mistake please let me know. I checked and checked but mistakes can happen.
