Welcome to Crochet Collections! In this Crochet Pattern, we are about to make a Heart Coaster. This easy-to-crochet Heart Coaster is perfect for protecting the surface of your furnished table or any other surface where you would like to avoid ring water from glasses. Coasters help keep the condensation from drinks from leaving water marks behind.
TOOLS/MATERIALS
• 4-ply Cotton Yarn (main yarn to use)
- Himalaya Home Cotton; Shade: Old Rose
approx. 30 meters used
• 3-ply Acrylic Yarn (use for border)
- Red Heart Lisa; Shade: Candy
approx. 20 meters used
• 3.5mm Crochet hook for the main heart
• 2.5mm Crochet hook for border
• Yarn needle for sewing
US Terms Abbv.:
• CH ➜ chain
• SC ➜ single crochet
• SL ST ➜ slip stitch
• INC ➜ increase single crochet
• DEC ➜ decrease single crochet
• … ➜ work on the same loop/stitch
• R1 ➜ Row 1
Special stitch
• SC CH 1 ➜ make 1 sc then CH 1
Patter Info:
- The pattern is for beginner level, with basic crochet stitches knowledge.
- The pattern is worked in alternate rows.
- Use stitch marker to mark each end of the round to stay on track.
- You may also use alternative stitch marker e.g. piece of yarn or pin.
- Make sure to have exact number of stitches seen inside the parentheses each of the end of the round/row.
- The border helps the coaster flatten the shape, take adjustments if necessary.
