Create an interesting array of baskets, trays, and coasters to express your heartfelt feelings. Finish the top with a band of I-cord or picots to personalize each piece. They knit up quickly on large needles in worsted or bulky weight yarns.

This pattern is dedicated to M’Lyn Walther, whose novelty bowls (Spin Off Summer 2003 inspired this heart felt adventure.

Size: Will vary with yarn weight used.

• Baskets: 5” across widest part and 2” deep (worsted wt) and 7” by 2” (bulky wt)
• Coasters measure about 0.5” wider than bottom of basket and smaller coasters measure 4.5” across.

Yarn: Use any yarn that will felt to a firm fabric. Yarn used in pattern picture: Lamb’s Pride Bulky (large red basket and coaster), Lamb’s Pride Worsted (pink basket, tray and coasters), and Nature Spun worsted (small red coasters) all from Brown Sheep Co.

Yardage: Yardage will vary depending on yarn weight, depth of basket, and which edge finish option you choose.

Basket: 70 to 90 yards

Tray: 60 to 70 yards

Coasters: 35 to 45 yards.

Needles: For worsted wt use size 10 or 10.5, for bulky wt use 11 or 13.
