This heart shaped scarf or headband is fast to knit and uses less than 2 ounces of worsted weight yarn so it’s a great stash buster. You can finish this in just a few hours and have it ready to give to a friend. Perfect for women, teens, and little girls too.

The pattern is for intermediate knitters or advanced beginners who want to learn some new techniques. Experienced knitters will also enjoy making this.

This out of the ordinary scarf is knitted in two pieces beginning with the hearts and then grafted together on the neckband. It’s a versatile piece to wear tied in front as an ascot, tossed over one shoulder, hanging free, or as a cozy headband.

As a bonus, I’ve added a variation of the pattern for a Hearts and Flowers Scarf. Instructions for crocheting the little flower appliques are included. There are suggestions for other ways to adapt the pattern to vary the look.
