Heart in the Prairie
The Belgian Seven-Part Sleeve Inlaid Flower Small Section perfectly utilizes the method of segmenting the flower-inlay area on the garment. Following the principles of radiation crochet, the back piece and sleeve pieces are radiated around the hexagonal inlay center, while the front piece radiates from a point just outside the sleeve hole. The hexagonal flower, front edge, and sleeve edge are all in Belgian lace patterns. The main motif matches remarkably well with the Belgian lace pattern, resulting in a harmonious overall effect. This design is ideal for early summer and early autumn seasons, pairing elegantly with camisole dresses or tank dresses, enhancing a refined and stylish look.
1Crocheting Method:
1.Crocheting the Back Piece:
Refer to the attached diagram for the Belgian Hexagon Flower pattern. Crochet a 19cm diameter hexagonal flower motif with the following steps:
1.1Start by crocheting the central six petals and cut the thread.
1.2Crochet the Belgian hexagon flower from the starting point and cut the thread.
1.3Start at the tip of a petal, crochet the ear and work two rows of short stitches before cutting the thread.
1.4Follow the diagram for the radiation pattern to crochet the back piece around the hexagonal motif.
2.Crocheting the Two Front Pieces:
Refer to the diagram for the radiation pattern for the front piece. Start from the underarm and crochet both front pieces.
3.Crocheting the Two Sleeve Pieces:
Refer to the attached diagram for the Belgian Hexagon Flower Half Flower motif. Follow the hexagon flower’s crocheting sequence to complete the half flower motifs. Then, refer to the diagram for the radiation pattern to crochet the two sleeve pieces around the hexagon half flowers.
4.Seam the shoulder lines, side seams, sleeve pieces, and sleeve holes.
5.Crocheting the Sleeve Edges:
5.1Follow the attached diagram for the Belgian edging pattern. Crochet two rows of short stitches evenly around the sleeve cuff.
5.2Crochet a wavy Belgian lace edge in five sections and connect the ends.
5.3Crochet a straight Belgian lace edge and connect it evenly with the sleeve cuff stitches and the wavy lace edge (connect an ear with every 4 stitches).
6.Crocheting the Front Edges (Button Bands):
6.1Follow the attached diagram for the Belgian front edge pattern. Crochet two rows of short stitches evenly from the left neckline to the right neckline.
6.2Crochet a wavy Belgian lace edge in five sections without connecting the ends.
6.3Crochet a straight Belgian lace edge and connect it evenly with the front edge short stitches and the wavy lace edge (pay attention to the corners: connect an ear with every 3 stitches).
7.Crocheting the Neckline Edge:
Crochet two rows of short stitches evenly along the neckline edge, then follow the neckline edge pattern while crocheting and connecting it to the neckline short stitches (pay attention to the smoothness of the neckline edge: connect an ear with every 4-5 corners).
8.Attach 4-5 suitable buttons along the edge of the left front piece.
