NOTES
— » For this pattern I used a Judy’s Magic Cast On © 2006 Judy Becker:
http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring06/FEATmagiccaston.html
— » Any cast on that you would normally use to start a sock “toe-up” will work well.
— » Increases: The left and right lifted increases (lli & rli) can be swapped for any other type of increase you prefer, just be consistent with the “left” and “right” markings so that your ornament stays symmetrical.
— » Passing Increased Stitches: Because some increases are made in the first stitch of the next dpn, you should pass these sts back to the last dpn so that the number of stitches for each dpn remains the same.
— » Binding Off: I used a variation of a 3-needle bind off. The instructions call for binding off from one side to the middle, and then from the other side back to the middle. This makes the bind off symmetrical. You can certainly bind off straight, all in one direction.
