Heart Scarf
I created this “Heart Scarf” to go with my “Heart Hats” (beanie and slouchy versions). You can find my matching hat pattern here:

These are perfect to make for someone dear to your heart. The scarf requires 3 balls of Lion Brand Amazing yarn (53% wool/47% acrylic), though you’ll have some yarn left over.
The little hearts on the bottom are crocheted and then sewed on with thread. Then you add the fringe per pattern instructions. Please note that the crocheted heart instructions use British terminology which is different than American. However, equivalency charts are readily available on the Internet.
The scarf is knitted in two pieces and then joined at the back of the neck. This is so that the hearts will be upright on both sides when worn. I did 19 pattern repeats for each side. Each side measures 30” long x 8” wide. For a shorter person, you might want to do less repeats, especially if you add fringe.
The little hearts all measured about 1.5” high when complete. The fringe adds another 5” in length. So the entire heart tassel measures 6.5 inches long, resulting in a very generous scarf (74” total length) that can be wrapped in any number of ways, including over the head/ears and around the neck if you’re really cold.
I prefer knitting the scarf in two halves, though some people have chosen to knit it in one piece. If you don’t know how to crochet, feel free to substitute your own fringe or any other edging.
