Tip 1: Jackie’s pattern model for the pink socks were knit in a hand-spun yarn. A good yarn choice to get a similar look is to use 2 or 3 strands held together of Helen’s Lace silk/wool by Lorna’s Laces in color #44 Grays Corner.

Tip 2: For an easy variation that produces delightful heart-patterned anklets with scalloped leg edging, follow the originally published Heart Socks pattern instructions as given for cuff except omit the ribbing rounds. Work all other instructions as given.
