The Heart Stitch Hat and Pants Set pattern includes instructions for both a beanie style and a slouch style hat as well as pants. The hat is sized from NB thru Adult. The pants could be made to fit an adult, but the instructions and measurements given include NB thru Child sizes.

Gauge: 18 hdc stitches in 10 rows = about 4 in (10 cm)

Materials needed:
4.00 (Size G) crochet hook
1 skein each of 2 (or more) colors of worsted weight yarn
Darning needle
1/2 inch elastic (optional)
measuring tape

The special heart stitch is created by alternating rounds of stitches. Both pieces are worked from the bottom up and have a very professional finish.

This pattern is suitable for boys and girls (see the camo combination!) and is easily customizable for each specific child.
