Celebrate love and warmth with the Heart to Heart cowl, a Valentine’s Day-inspired design, filled with charm and texture. Featuring intricate mosaic stitches, bold stripes, and delicate heart motifs, this cozy accessory is a perfect expression of love— whether for yourself or someone special. The elegant triangular shape drapes beautifully, while the mix of colors and patterns creates a striking, modern look. Wrap yourself in warmth and let your stitches speak heart to heart!

The cowl is knit flat sideways and then seamed up the back of the neck after blocking. This pattern utilizes mosaic knitting and garter stitch. Only one color is worked at a time. The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or the charts.

Choosing colors:

• C1 and C2 - good value contrast,
• C3 and C4 - good value contrast,
• C2 and C4 - just good color contrast. Use your phone camera with BW filter to check the value contrast

The pattern could be worked in 2 colors only (choose yarns that have good value contrast). Instructions for C1 and C3 are worked in one color, C2 and C4 in another.

Yarn: Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply Toes (100% SW Merino, 133 yd / 38 g) in 4 colors:

• C1 -130 yd,
• C2 - 120 yd,
• C3 - 55 yd,
• C4 - 100 yd.

Or any fingering weight yarn in 4 colors with the same yardage.

Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm)

Notions: darning needle, 1 stitch marker

Gauge: 23 stitches and 48 rows = 4” in main pattern, blocked. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will affect the yardage and the finished size if different from above.

Sizing: 22“ circumference, 20” center front depth, 7” back neck depth.

• White main body: C1: Plover, C2: Dark Pleiades, C3: By the Sea, C4: Marfak

• large print (11 pages, 20 pt), the version with big letters for those who use portable devices like tablets and e-readers; also for those knitters who have difficulties reading small font on paper.
