Like all my stuffed toys, rounds are worked in continuous spirals. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round. Move the marker up each time you start a new round.
My Unicorn is about 28cm wide, but it all depends on the type of yarn you want to use. This pattern was also tested using cotton yarn. So you can use any yarn, not only soft plush ones. Sometimes the same yarns are different in thickness, and this may also effect the size.
The required materials:

• two and a half skeins of Himalaya Dolphin Baby in main color (300m), I used less than two skeins, but I know that many people crochet looser than me, so I carefully prefer to tell you more,
• about half a skein of the same yarn in other colors for curls, but it depends on how long your curls will be and how many curls of a given color you decide to make,
• several meters of the same yarn in other colors to make the horn,
• crochet hook 4mm if you are using chenille yarn, and 2mm-3mm for the eyes,
• a small piece of Yarnart Jeans white and black, to make eyes,
• needle with large eyelet for sewing,
• a marker or a piece of yarn for marking rows,
• silicone filling, fiberfill stuffing,
• lighter for burning ends. Abbreviations (US terms): MR – magic ring ch - chain sl – slip stitch sc – single crochet st - stitch V – increase (two sc in one st) /\ – decrease (two sc together) x - the number of repetitions
