These Heart Wreaths/Frames make lovely, light-weight decorations. The lacy knitted edging sets off a photograph as a frame. Or hang the heart on a door or wall for a splash of color!

This pattern does require either a 10 cm or 12 cm HEART-SHAPED HOOP. A link to the one I used is embedded in the PDF pattern. Simply click on the link. Alternatively, one may create their own heart-shaped hoop using pipe cleaners. However, for the best results, I strongly recommend purchasing the metal hoop. (I am not compensated for this, it just works perfectly.)

Approximate finished sizes:
The 10 cm Hoop creates a 6-inch (15-cm) -wide Heart.
The 12 cm Hoop creates a 7-inch (17.5 cm) -wide Heart.

The written instructions include many photographs to help create either size Heart. The pattern does require some simple sewing with the main color yarn. The knitted edging is worked flat. This can be a great stashbuster for your extra medium-weight yarn.

You decorate the Heart Wreath/Frame using yarn, ribbon, beads, jewels, or flowers. Or glue a favorite photograph to the back. Maybe a gift for an engaged couple or a special anniversary? I’ve also found heart-shaped mirrors to glue to the Heart Wreath. So many ideas!

Enjoy!
