A fast and easy hat for baby, child, or adult, with a design resembling a heartbeat and which can be made, “in a heartbeat”! It’s that simple!

Any colour or combination of colours, any size.

Materials needed: 1 Skein worsted weight (aran/10ply) in Main colour; Oddments in contrasting colour

4mm hook; 4.5mm hook; 5mm hook; 5.5mm hook; yarn needle for sewing in ends.

Gauge: 10 sts and 14 rows on 5mm hook, working half double crochet = 4”.

Diffficulty: Easy

Basically, a beanie, with a little interest, but a pattern that you can keep and use for basic hdc beanies any time for any size.
