Heartfelt Conversation
Some conversations fill our hearts with joy, love or friendship. When you knit this shawl, remember the chats that you truly enjoyed. If you “knit them into” the fabric of the shawl, the shawl can later serve as a reminder to seek for such meetings, have more of those beautiful heartwarming moments, and cherish them when they happen.
Heartfelt Conversation is the first pattern from the Moment Catchers e-book. The e-book includes six shawl patterns in total, all designed to catch the most precious experiences.
The shawl is an asymmetric curved triangle worked sideways in one piece. Instructions are provided for making a regular sized shawl that is worked either from fingering or DK weight yarn. Using the included instructions, you can easily make the shawl larger or smaller. Beads are optional.
For information about sizes, measurements and yarn requirements please check the second page of the pattern located among the photos on the left.
The pattern is fully charted and includes line-by-line written instructions.
I asked test knitters what they would like to tell about the pattern and the finished cowl to other knitters and here are some of their answers:
ftmhling Simple stitches become a beautiful shawl. Easy to memorize and fast to knit.
Vaida If you want to have a relaxed and interesting project – just go for this shawl! The lace border pattern is fairly easy to remember, and it’s a pleasure, not a struggle to knit. For more spice in your life, just add beads.
MandyzMoon Once you start the repeats, it is a relaxing knit with enough fun in the flowers to keep you wanting to knit one more poppy.
KBHallman My advice would be to take advantage of the pictures; they were very helpful for the inc1to9below stitch. Creating the leaves, stems, and flowers is a lot of fun. And even though they slow things down, taking the time to add the beads makes such a difference! By the time you finish with this shawl, you’ll be really good at making picots!
echeverialaui This is an outstanding pattern and the placement of beads in this shawl really lets me think of poppy seed capsules. The shape of the shawl is both flattering and feminine, as well as fitting perfectly.
