This is the third and final pattern of the Autumn Adventures Sock Club. It will be available for purchase on Ravelry for 48 hours from publishing and then will be available through https://shop.purlkitty.com/b/autumnclub23

As the colder embrace of October evenings draws near, there’s no better time to kindle a comforting fire, whether nestled within the cozy confines of a fireplace or beneath the open sky of an outdoor bonfire. In homage to these enchanting nights, these socks are meticulously crafted with the very essence of those warming flames in mind, featuring a delightful blend of snug ribbing, textured purls, and cables.

Gauge: 7.25 stitches/inch on 2.25 mm (US 1) circular needles.

Yarn: The sample shown is made with Onion Knit Nettle Sock Yarn. This a tightly twisted 4ply made from superwash wool and nettle fibers. It shows the definition in the pattern beautifully and is a sustainable yarn dyed with plants.

Sample: Onion Knit Nettle Sock Yarn. 70% Superwash Wool 30% Nettle Fiber. 50g (2 balls needed), color 1027.

Materials:

  • US 1 (2.25) circular knitting needles (or size needed to get gauge), I recommend at least 32 inches (my preferred length). You can substitute - DPNs and 9-inch circulars for circulars as well and I’ll show you how.
  • 100 grams of fingering-weight sock yarn.
  • Stitch marker or locking stitch marker (optional)
  • Cable Needle (optional)
  • Ruler or measuring tape.
  • Darning needle.
  • Sock blockers to photograph your socks once you’re done! (optional).

Notes:

This pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be changed to DPNs. Use 2 needles for N1, and another 2 for N2. If you’re using 9-inch circulars, there will be notes throughout to guide you.
