Heartleaf Socks
Originally designed for Knitcrate INSPIRATIONS March 2020
Now available in English, French, and Spanish!
The Heartleaf Philodendron is one of the most recognizable houseplants—rich green leaves trail from hanging baskets all over the world. I often think about how wonderful it would be to see my favorite houseplants in their natural habitat—to wander through different forests, jungles, and deserts and leave nothing but carefully placed footprints.Heartleaf is a cuff down sock featuring a leaf-like lace pattern. This is an excellent lace pattern for knitters who are just dipping their toe (get it?) into the world of lace knitting. Heartleaf is constructed with a classic heel flap and gusset for (in my opinion) a well-fitting sock. The length of the leg can be completely customized, and directions to do so are included in the pattern. Knit an ankle, crew, or midcalf sock without any difficult modifications.
