A beautiful textured, gender neutral, reversible baby blanket. Knitted in one piece using a combination of knit and purl stitches and heart and star motives. The blanket has a garter stitch border and is designed in a textured stripe layout.

The blanket is designed in one size, measuring approximately 65 cm x 95 cm ( 25.5” x 37.25”). It is the perfect size for a crib, pram or bassinet.

Knitted using DK (8 Ply) yarn on 4 mm (UK 8 - US 6) knitting needles. I would recommend using circular needles, working back and forth, due to the size of the finished piece.

I have used Sirdar’s Snuggly 100% Cotton but alternative DK (8 Ply) yarns can be used as long as the tension required for the pattern is achieved.
Tension guage, using 4 mm needles, should be 22 stitches x 28 rows of stocking / stockinette stitch to a 10 cm / 4 “ square.

The pattern has written and chart instructions for each different stitch section.

Skills required: cast on and bind off, knit and purl stitching.
