I like these gloves a little tighter to show off the hearts so I recommend a smaller needle
I also like to knit with 4 DP needles vs. 3 to prevent stretching stitches in between the needles.
Also- I use a bind-off stitch to join when knitting in-the-round, so my patterns always start with 1 additional stitch and once yarn is joined you’ll begin pattern with correct # of stitches. If you join using another method, then just eliminate the extra stitch from the beginning.
