Once you knit one repeat, the rest is easy, since the pattern repeats 5 times. Knit it in one or two evenings for less than $5 with the yarn suggested.
Use leftover stash of eyelash yarns in the braids, tassels, and pompom to create a really fun hat.
Go down one needle size to 11 US and change the hat to size small, and if you change to a yarn suggested to be knit on size 8 or 9 US, you can make a kids size ear flap hat.
