Hearts and Diamonds Infinity Scarf is a beautiful chunky scarf sure to keep you warm this winter. Colorful linked hearts are encased in diamond borders for a fun and stylish look. This scarf is 7” wide and 60” long and wraps twice around the neck. A matching messy bun / beanie hat is also available. This project is an enjoyable challenge to make with intermediate skill recommended. Some special stitches are involved with detailed instructions given.

The pattern starts out with the ring of hearts. There are thirty-six hearts so color choices can vary. I chose to use three different colors for the hearts so there are twelve hearts in each color but you may decided to use two, three, four or six different colors. After completing the ring of hearts, using dark grey so the colors of the hearts stood out, I made the borders, which are designed to be wide enough to give the scarf structure and warmth.

I used Red Heart Super Saver (medium weight; 100% acrylic) in Grey Heather as the main color. For the hearts I used a small amount of Perfect Pink, Minty and Orchid.

You will need a crochet hook size I/9 – 5.5mm and a yarn needle to weave in ends.

This pattern uses US terminology.

Basic stitches: sl st, sc, hdc, dc, dc2tog.

Special stitches which include instructions: fptc2tog and dctcdc3tog cluster

This scarf has 36 hearts, you can use any colors you like. For my scarf I used 3 colors and repeated them in order.
