I so much enjoyed creating my Cable and Lace cot size blanket, that i decided to design a smaller one, for the car seat or Moses basket with the same heart motif.
This pattern is presented as a downloadable 8-page pdf with charts, written instructions and photos of various stages of the knit.
it is knitted in two pieces - top down bottom part and then pleated border, which is sewn on afterwards.
Blanket measures approx 55x65cm after blocking, and calls for DK yarn. I used about skein and a half (450m) for each of my prototypes. The yarns I used can be substituted, please go by the total yardage, rather than weight, as it can differ greatly from one manufacturer to another.
Gauge is not crucial, whatever you used to get when working DK - I knit with 3mm needles, fairly loose and after blocking my gauge measured 20sts x 28 rows in 10cm square across the heart motif.
