This hat is such a cute accessory. It really is what your heart desires!
And, there’s no limit to how you can make this beanie.
I personally made 5 different styles of it! The heart motif creates a wonderful and fun look for all ages. But, crochet this up in more masculine colors with color blocks and now you’ve got the perfect hat for the men in your life too!

The Pattern contains directions for 5 sizes:
Toddler (ages 1-3)
Child (ages 3-10)
Teen/Small Adult (20”- 21” head circ)
Medium Adult (21”- 22” head circ)
Large Adult (22”-23” head circ)

Pattern is written for a slightly slouchy bobble hat (like in the pictures), however, for a tighter fit, you can either make a size down OR leave out one row before decreasing rows. To have a slouchy hat (Black/Lavender), make one size up from your measurements.

I used Big Twist Yarns Value for some of the hats (Grey/Purple, Blue/Magenta, Black/Lavender) and Red Heart Super Saver for the others (Mustard/White, White/Rainbow). They are very similar gauges and created the exact same size hats. Any Medium Weight 4 (Aran) yarn will work for this hat, but make sure you gauge swatch to make sure you choose the right size.

Other Yarn Suggestions: Caron Jumbo, Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran, Knit Picks Gloss.

Model has 21” head circ and is wearing size Adult Med (Slightly slouchy with bobble - White/Rainbow and Purple/Grey) and Adult Large (slouchy with no bobble - Black/Lavender)
