Heartsease Cowl
This pattern is part of the Project Peace 2018 e-book… all about seeds and peace. Available as a single pattern or as part of the e-book collection that will be completed by December 2019.
Seeds come in all shapes and sizes producing a diverse and expansive ecosystem. Similarly, in the world of knitting, there are multiple ways to achieve the look of “seed” stitch. Heartsease means peace of mind.
This project is a simple to knit cowl using a slipped stitch technique to achieve a seeded texture. In this simple to knit cowl, the seed stitch is achieved with a slipped stitch technique. This cowl is a great introduction to slipped stitch knitting yet for those with experience the simplicity of the stitch pattern provides an opportunity to practice mindful breathing. The pattern was designed with three shades to produce a fade however it would be equally elegant in a single color, striped, color blocked, or using a gradient. Enjoy this alternative approach to creating seed stitch.
