Thanks for checking out the Heartstrings Shawl! Although ‘heart strings’ are actual anatomical structures (fibrous tissues that connect valves and muscles in the heart), this shawl’s name takes a more literal approach. This large, symmetrical garment uses simple two-stitch cables and slipped stitches to create geometric hearts…on strings. The slightly tedious heart section is balanced by a nice, relaxing garter trim, making this shawl a good fit even for novice knitters looking to develop their skills. It makes a perfect, heavy winter shawl or a light and versatile autumn/spring scarf. I hope you like it!
