This doily is based on the squares as described in my previous Heartstrings Granny Squares pattern. To make this doily you will use my Breakaway Crochet techniques, enabling you to crochet the squares continuously and joined-as-you-go.

As shown the doily is 4 squares wide by 3 squares high, but it is easy to add more squares to change the size.

Any crochet cotton or thread is suitable, but variegated or colour changing yarns will give unexpected results.
