HEARTWOOD is a round yoke sweater with a top-down construction. The yoke design is achieved through a combination of very simple colourwork and texture stitches.

Starting with provisional cast on, the sweater is worked seamlessly top down. After the yoke, short rows are worked to shape the neckline and elevate the back of the sweater, then the body and sleeves are separated while casting on stitches for underarms. The neck band is worked at the end, which gives you an opportunity to decide what kind of neckline you want to make.

SIZING:
The measurements listed below are for the final sweater. Heartwood sweater pattern comes in 10 sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) (7, 8, 9, 10) with finished bust circumference measuring 82 (90, 98, 105.5, 112, 120) (130, 140, 150, 160) cm / 32.75 (36, 39.25, 42.25, 44.75, 48) (52, 56, 60, 64) inches. The sweater is meant to be worn with 5 - 15 cm / 2- 6 inches of positive ease. To pick your size, measure around your full bust, add the desired ease and choose a size closest to that number.

The sample is shown in size 3 with 5 cm / 2 inches of positive ease.

Léttlopi from Istex, 50 g - 100 meters / 109 yards. Sample is made with MC 085 Oatmeal Heather and CC and 9427 Rust Heather (ver.1), 1416 Moor (ver.2)

NEEDLES:
Size A - 80-120 cm Circular needles - 3 mm (US 2.5 ) for ribbing
Size B - 80-120 cm Circular needles - 4 mm (US 6) or other to achieve gauge in stockinette in the round
Size C - 80-120 cm Circular needles - 4.5 mm (US 7) for colourwork
