Heartwood Shawl
This generous shawl is worked in Tunisian crochet. I wanted to keep the Tunisian crochet stitches simple while exploring some dramatic colour changes. I’ve used two colours in an aran yarn. The shawl is made of two panels, the body of which are worked in Arrowhead stitch. There is a Honeycomb stitch border at the end of each panel, to stop any curling at the front of the shawl. The first panel of the shawl starts at the back edge and is worked up. The completed panel is then turned, and stitches are picked up along the side edge to work the second panel. The shawl is finished with a simple edging worked with a standard crochet hook. Pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
