Sizes:
Hearty Hearts are 15cm or 6 inches tall, and 17cm or 6.5 inches wide. The plain heart is 10cm or 4 inches tall, and 10cm or 4 inches wide.

Materials Needed:
3.25mm or 3US or 10 UK knitting needles, 2 x 3.25mm or 3US or 10 UK double pointed knitting needles, stitch holder, 20g or 0.7oz of red double knit yarn, stuffing, tweezers, black embroidery thread (I used 2 strands of Number 5 thread), 1 pair of 16mm googly eyes with red eyelids, 20cm or 8 inches of 10mm wide lilac satin ribbon (optional), 20cm or 8 inches of 10mm wide black satin ribbon (optional), and clear adhesive

Methods Used:
Cast on using the thumb method, Knit or garter stitch, Purl, M1R - Make 1 Right, M1L - Make 1 Left, KFB - Knit into the front and the back of a stitch, SKPO - Slip one stitch knit wise then knit one stitch then pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, K2tog - Knit 2 stitches together as 1, Cast off, I-cord, sew the pieces together using mattress stitch.

A larger or smaller size can be achieved by using a thicker or thinner yarn. Adjust the needle size accordingly so that you get a tight fabric.
