This is a free pattern on my crochet blog for a scarf suitable for a beginner. The size can be easily be adjusted to suit desired width and length by adjusting the starting chain and working as many rows as desired. The stitch is a half-treble v stitch and is a one row repeat. There is the optional extra of adding tassels to the scarf.
