This is a plain (vanilla) style sock knit in 8 ply (DK) yarn.

The pattern is knitted toe-up with an Eye of Partridge heel cup using German short-rows and a slipped-stitch heel flap.

While the pattern is written for a circular needle utilising magic loop, double-pointed needles can be used if you prefer.

Contrasting toes and heels can easily be incorporated, as can simple texture stitches and colour-work, but be careful of the tension if doing colour-work or cables - maybe go up a needle size.

For larger sizes adding contrasting heels and toes will make your main colour go further.
