Project Description: Sweet and warm, these cute, lined mittens will keep your fingers toasty and stylish this winter! Knit from the picot hem to the top of the mitten without seams. The stranded (Fair Isle) cuff is long enough to keep your wrists covered and the minky fabric lining makes these a pair of cozy mittens!

Size and Finished Measurements: As written, these instructions produce an average sized women’s mitten with a 2.5 inch (6.35 cm) cuff, a palm circumference of 7.5 - 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) and a 2.25 inch (5.7 cm) thumb length. Suggested modifications for adjusting the width and length for other sizes are included.

Materials and Equipment:
Yarn: Dk weight yarn approximately 220 yards. Shown in Dream Everlasting DK, Gold Experience, color 10 (main color), and Sundown Orchid, color 030 (contrast color), 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 3.5 oz (100 g) 275 yd (251.5 m).

Needles: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) DPNs or 2 circular needles, 3 stitch markers, darning needle, piece of waste yarn.

Gauge: 22 sts in stockinette stitch with size 5 (3.75 mm) needles = 4” / 10 cm

I designed these cute and warm mittens for a dear friend. It was a fun, quick knit. She loves their design and how warm they are! The lining pattern is included with instructions for adding these to your mittens.
