This pattern is an adaptation of the excellent Elementary Watson Socks by Sherry Menton. I adapted the pattern to suit a heavier gauge yarn that was crying out to be knit into warm, cosy, cabled socks.
The yardage given (380 yds) is for the socks I knitted, which were UK men’s foot size 9 with a c. 6” leg. They used all but the last few yards of two balls of c. 190 yds length. As the pattern is toe-up you can adjust the length of the leg to use as much yarn as is available.
All comments and questions gratefully received!
