Named after a favorite lighthouse in Oregon, Heceta beautifully showcases hand painted yarns with its undulating waves. This versatile shawlette may be worn as a scarf or shawl. Heceta begins with an unique lacey crochet chain cast-on or plain cast-on, followed by an easy waving lace pattern. The pattern is easy to memorize, though there are pattern stitches worked on both right and wrong sides (central double decrease, yarn over, knit and purl). The crescent shape is formed with simple short rows. Heceta is bound off with a crochet chain bind-off.

Heceta measures 21.5” inches deep at the center and 55 inches across, blocked into a crescent shape. The pattern is presented both fully charted and written. Instructions are included for adding pattern repeats for a larger shawl.

Pattern includes a tutorial for the Crochet Eyelet Cast-On.
