A shawl in horizontal rib with a center cable

MATERIALS:

• Cashmere yarn by Mamy Factory (100% cashmere): 5 balls in color Gris souriceau
• 4.0 mm or 4.5 mm knitting needles, preferably circulars with a long cable to accomodate all stitches (you can have up to 400 sts at the end)
• 1 cable needle

GAUGE:
Swatching is not crucial but the knit fabric should be supple and length adapted to the recipient’s head circumference.

STITCHES USED:

• Garter stitch: knit all sts.
• Cable stitch: braid over 12 knit sts + 1 purled st at each end crossed every 4th row:

- Aiguilles n° 4 ou n° 4,5, de préférence circulaires avec un grand
câble pour faire tenir toutes les mailles (à la fin, on peut avoir
jusqu’à 400 m. !)
- 1 aiguille auxiliaire

ÉCHANTILLON :
Il n’est pas nécessaire de réaliser un échantillon pour ce modèle,
mais le tricot doit être très souple pour un rendu plus moelleux.
