Hedda
Hedda Half-Mitts are constructed the same as traditional Selbu mittens and gloves. They are designed with a women’s cuff and motifs of a goat horn rose, coffee beans and dancers (or goblins).
Many thanks to Anne Bardsgard for her book, Selbu Mittens, published by Trafalgar Square Books of North Pomfret, Vermont, USA.
Pattern requires the following skills: working in the round in small circumferences, increasing & decreasing, chart-reading, stranded knitting in two colors.
Sizes & Finished Measurements
Small(Medium, Large); S(M, L)
Circumference: 8 1/2/22cm(9/23cm, 9 1/2/24cm)
Approximate Length: 8 1/4/22cm(8 1/4/22cm, 8 1/4/22cm)
The Hedda Half-Mitts are intended to be worn with approximately 0/0cm ease in circumference. Measure around the palm and back of dominate hand, just below the knuckles, excluding thumb.
Gauge
31 stitches and 31 rounds in stranded two-color stockinette stitch = 4/10cm on US 1/2.25mm needles.
