This pattern is 14 pages long and contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.

You will need:

Yarn of your choice in beige and medium brown for the hedgehog. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your hedgehog will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used a combination of Patons Smoothie DK Yarn & Stylecraft Special Aran (these yarns are both the same thickness despite being categorised as different weights), and my finished hedgehog measures 14cm long from nose to tail.

The same weight yarn in green, grey, dark brown & yellow and in your choice of colour for the flower.

A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.

Toy stuffing for the hedgehogs and slug.

Black, dark brown & green finer yarn or embroidery thread for embroidering the details.

A pair of 9mm black safety eyes (these are optional and closed eyes can be embroidered instead).

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors, pins and a stitch marker.
