This is a simple hedgehog pattern which is done in one continuous spiral. There is very minimal sewing involved. Because this pattern uses so little yarn, this is perfect for scrap yarn!

Approx. finished size / Recommended Hook & Yarn / Eyes:

Small (1.5”) - No. 4 / 1.25mm US and 0.6mm US with Size 10 Crochet thread / Miyuki beads, 5-6mm shank buttons or 5-6mm safety eyes

Large (3”) - F / 3.75mm US and 1mm US with Worsted Weight yarn / 10-12mm shank buttons or 10-12mm safety eyes

Gauge is not that important. Just be sure to use a hook that will allow you to have tight stitches with the yarn or thread that you plan to use.
