Heel Pop Socks
Once you crochet these fun, two-tone socks, you’ll realize that you don’t have to break the bank to treat your feet! The simple color blocked heel and toe elevates these socks to a whole new level; and with so many different colors to choose from, options for personalization are endless!
These socks begin with a HDC Blp ribbing worked in turned rows. The ribbing strip is slip stitched to form a tube, then stitches are worked into the rows ends to begin ankle. Ankle is worked top-down in the round in stretchy, smooth, ESC. Increases are made to create gusset, and stitches are skipped to create a heel opening (heel added later). Decreases are made, instep is worked, then a color change is made for toe. Heel is worked after toe is finished, however, if desired length of sock is uncertain, heel can be worked before color change for toe to determine fit/length of sock.
Choose a size that measures about .75-1” smaller than foot circumference for best fit. Length of leg and foot is easily customizable-finished length of sock should measure about 1” shorter than foot length for best fit.
